The Self Portrait Prize 2025 online display presents the collection of exceptional artworks that were selected for the short and long list for this year's prize. The judging panel included presenter and comedian Alan Carr, Dr Sarah Turner (Director of the Paul Mellon Centre), Simon Vincent CBE (Executive Vice President & President, Hilton EMEA), cultural leader Sir Peter Bazalgette, 2023 Prize winner Colin Davidson, and grandson of Ruth Borchard, Alex Brenden. Displaying self-portraits by artists from all backgrounds and at different stages of their artistic careers, it demonstrates the continuation of the long established tradition of the artist as a subject for their own work. Including painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, photography, video and mixed media artworks, it reveals the diversity and ingenuity apparent amongst contemporary practices.
